Morning blogland. There was a time a few years ago that our internet was a bell hub. This ment that we were very limited on what we could do. The biggest no no was videos (using up to much of our limited data). I saved all the videos I wanted to watch. So now that we have unlimited internet I am slowly going back to catch up on some technique videos. This week I have managed to produce two cards.
Using my background stamp I heat embossed with white powder. I then took distress inks and blended the background. Wiping with a dry towel when finished to brighten up the white emboss. Then I cut out the front panel with a scalloped die. Placing the card base with the cut front panel in my Misti I positioned my flower stamp, removing the front panel before stamping. The image was colored with pencil crayons. I added little yellow pearls to the centre of the flowers and a little jute bow to the stems. The sentiment was cute with a die three times and layered altogether to make them dimentional.
Thanks for stopping by. And hope you enjoy my little creations.

Three Simple Cards
Evening blog land. The other night while going through stock and rearranging product I came across a pack of paper by imaginisce. The All Occasion Build-a-Card. What a great way to get the creative juices flowin'. To take a simple card and add too it. Ok, so I couldn't see a vision for one, but two of the cards I did manage to put add-ons on.
The little penguin was my first attempt. I folded the card, stuck the sticker on the mat. I used two way tape around the border of the mat and add glitter. To the little penguins on the card I put enamel accents on his eyes, wink of stella on his cheeks and scarf, and little pearls on the white snowflakes.
The blue one was quit simple. When I went to stick the sticker on it accidently slipped. When lifting it up it peels some of the paper. I cut the sticker down in size, and placed flowers over my little boo boo.
So looking forward to the weekend. One more day and I'll see my little girl. It's been almost two weeks since we dropped her off at college. One week of just first years, and this week she started classes. We have text everyday, keeping up on what she's doing. But I miss her so much. Can't wait till I'm done work tomorrow night, she should be home.

Red Poinsettias
Back to my card. I stamped my poinsettia in black ink. Coloring was done with Spectum Noir blendable pencils. Still practicing with them. I then tried to do a shadow around the flower, but didn't really like how it was turning out. I found some gold mist in my stash and spritzed just my flower at first but didn't like that, so I did the whole card. The centre of the flower is white pearls that I colored with a gold Sharpie marker. The sentiment is a gold outline sticker.

Trees All Abling
Evening everyone. I have finally made it to the computer. First the kid beat me to it, and then we started ripping apart the ceiling and had to unplug the internet. We have been storing a few bails of insulation in our coverall where the lawn tractor is stored. Our new tractor is coming tomorrow so the insulation has to go to make room for the bigger tractor. So up went the plastic to keep part of the basement clean, and down came the drywall on the ceiling. There is always complications when doing home reno's and it takes you longer than expected. Part the plastic to get through and plug the computers back in for the evening. Must hurry now, hubbie just logged into his computer. Daughter is in the shower then she will be down to kick me off. So nice to see the father daughter bonding over a game of Star Wars.
This card really came together for me. The sketch was so great to work with. My tree was fun to do. Started with a new stamp that I got for Christmas. The garland I used glossy accents then sprinkled with glitter. The ornaments are metal jewels from my I-rock. I stamped the tree onto the oval cut out my tree and glued it on.

A Happy Belated Merry Christmas
I would like to start by wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas. With the rush of the season, internet problems, and the kids on the computer, it's sometimes hard to find the time to sit down and post. I hope Santa found everyone, and you have been enjoying the holidays with friends and family. This is the first time in along time that I have been home and not working. So nice.
I would like to share with you this card that I made for my aunt. A week ago she fell down her basement stairs and cracked her shoulder blade. My poor cousin has had to do everything for her, including the baking that she didn't have done. Poor Annette doesn't bake, but with aunties suporvision she managed to complete everything in time for Christmas Day.
I started with white cardstock and embossed the flowers with clear embossing powder. I then inked with distress inks, wiping off the flowers when finished. I spritzed some water on and added a pearl to the middle of the flower. I mounted onto another white cardstock and then onto the card base using foam dimensions.
Santa brought me a set of pens for my silhouette, so I'm off now to download the free patterns that came with them. It will be a silhouette afternoon.

Going Girly
Wow, it's taken me a week do get the creativity back to make a card. All week I've tried, and just stared at the supplies. So I started knitting the kids socks, and working on a Christmas scrapbook. Today I came home from work, and said "I'm going to make a card". Then had to rush to get it posted on here before DH gets on the computer to play a little later.
Todays card is for four challenges.
Cupcake Crafts Challenges-Challenge #73-Going Girly
Cute Card Thursday-Challenge #95-Pink & Grey
Little Red Wagon-Challenge #11-Polka Dots
And finally

365 Cards, Cupcake and Little Red Wagon
I'm about 24 hrs late posting my cards. We worked removing snow from the driveway till 9:30 last night. When I came in the power had flashed off and turned the computer off. I was so tired just didn't feel like posting. The snow has finally quit falling today and we had blue skies and sunshine. I still didn't make it to work, because the car had sat for two days with the snow falling around it. It was like it was in a pit.
Enough about the snow. On to the cards. This one is for Cupcake Craft Challenges-Challenge 69-Sing a Christmas Carol. You were to choose your favorite christmas carol to use on your card. I heard 'I'll be Home For Christmas' on the radio the other day and thought this stamp was perfect. It is also for 365 Cards-Day 284-DIY Sketches. Design your own sketch and create a card based on it.
Here is my sketch.
This pic is from Little Red Wagon-Challenge 6. You were to be inspired by the photo. I used a cuttlebug folder of the village (one of my fav christmas folder). I embossed it on white wash green coordinations. I sanded the houses a bit to show the green through, added glitter to the roofs and snowflakes, and added three little star jewel in the sky. A bit of gold glitter around the edge. I added the word 'Peace' on the bottom for 365 Cards-Day 285-A Certain Sentiment. You were to use the word 'Peace' as the entire sentiment or as part of the sentiment.
Here is my card.
