Enjoy the Day

Morning everyone.  Before I start today, I'd just like to direct you over to Sentimental Sunday.  They are having a SPECIAL FUNDRAISER for a friend.  Her son was admitted to hospital with heart problems, and she is unable to get to him. They are offering two stamp sets to help her out.

Hope everyones long weekend is going well.  Drop my daughter off for a sleepover yesterday afternoon.  The next time she askes to go on sleepover at a friends house I have to remember to ask if it is at their home.  Assuming this yesterday, I ended up driving to the next town, because they were at their cottage.  And I have to go get her today.  Ahhh.

I managed to whip up a card last night.  Loved the challenge at Mojo Monday.  To make a circular card.  Had fun with this one.  Even stamped my own paper, using embossing powder.

Hot Fun

Here we are Friday of the Aug long weekend.  It is going to be so busy today at work.  With all the tourists arriving at their cottages.  Stopping at the local grocery store to fill up the cupboards on their way.  Thankfully its my last day for two weeks.  I will be enjoying family time, beach time, and hard work.  The plan is to put down hardwood floor in our upstairs.  Tomorrow starts the weekend with a Yard Sale.  We have told the kids they get some of the money from their toys hoping to get rid of alot.

Onto business.  For the last year and half I have been getting the monthly Basic Grey Kits.  I have them filed all neatly together.  Going through them again and again.  Awing at the beautiful paper and matching embellishments.  Now a have used a couple, but not many.  So I decided when I saw Creative Accents challenge for July-Summer, I just had to use it.  I found the perfect paper, and even used the LO that came with it.  Which made it really easy to do.  Hope you like it.

Have a great weekend

Evening everyone.  Our heat wave is finally over, we have finally had a bit of rain and a cool breeze blowing.  The countdown to holidays is on, three more work days, a yard sale Saturday, and then it's relax time.  Well as much as I can relax while installing hardwood floor.
My card today is very simple.  Starting with an Imaginsce spotted card.  Adding plain yellow paper, blue ribbon and bow.  My cake was cut using cuttlebug, and congratulations is a sticker.

Christmas in July

After an hour struggling with my Asus Transformer to download my card to my post.  I've turned on the big PC to do my post.

Weather has been extremely hot the last week.  DH dug out the airconditioner last night and put it in the window.  We haven't had it out for three years.  The temperature is expected to keep rising.  Cooled to 21 C tonight.

Took the kids to see Harry Potter tonight, or rather tried to.  I worked till six, movie was at seven.  When we got there, there was six seats left and we couldn't sit together.  The little guy was so upset I thought he was going to cry.  We'll try again another night.
This little cutie is a 3D image.  I was so excited to do a Christmas card to post on Jingle Belles, only to check the challenge again, and they request a reindeer.  But I'll put my little Christmas mouse on and hopefully I'll get another done in time.

Inky Fingers

Hello everyone, I'm back.  Last night I was tiding up my space, putting away a package of adhesive, inks and cards that I received in the mail.  And the next thing I new I'd finished two cards.  OK, they were the same, but with different sentiments.

I started by inking up my stamp block with three colors of distress ink, and spritzing with water.  Then stamping directly onto a card of craft paper.  I then stamped the flower in black ink, and the sentiment.  Voila, complete.

Here is our ginormous cherrie tomatoe plant.  This was taken on the weekend and has grown since then.  It is just loaded with little tomatoes.  Miracle Grow is amazing.

Have a great evening.

New Toy

No crafting being done this week.  Just settling in with the kids home.  But had to show off my new toy.  I've been looking at the new tablets.  When DH called yesterday to see if I was serious.  He was at the electronic store and they had just gotten in a new one from ASUS.  Well I'm poor now, because he came home with it for me.  The nice thing about it is it comes with a keyboard, so you can either use it like a little notebook, or pop the tablet off and use it alone.
Today he was back out to town to get a WIFI connection for the house.  He'll be hooking that up while I'm at work today.  I'm off tomorrow and can play all day while he's off racing his little cars.

Enjoy the weekend.

Happy Canada Day

Happy Canada Day. I now I'm a day late, but I had to work yesterday.  Since we are in a tourist designated area, most stores are open all summer.  Last night we took in the local fireworks.  They are very pretty, being set off over the bay.
I forgot to post the cards that I made for the teachers gifts.  They each received a set of four.  I got inspiration for these little beauties while checking out inspired by .  The card video can be found here. Well summer vaction has officially started.  The kids are already missing their friends and it's still the first weekend.  It's going to be a long summer.  Now I have to come up with things to keep them busy.

Have a great weekend
