Friends forever

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.  We just turned on the Olympics to catch the last minute of the hockey game.  Canada 2 USA 1.  Then USA scored a goal.  Its into overtime.  I'm not a hockey person, but the kids and I are watching this one.

I made some time this afternoon between laundry and playing outside with the kids.  I still have a friendship cake drained on the counter that has to be made tonight.

My card covers three challenges.
Caardvarks-Use stickers.
Crafty Card Makers-Challenge #15-Tricolor-Make your creation based on the following color schemes.  Triatic, Split Complimentary, Analogous.
365 Cards-Day 358-Super Sketchy Sunday.
I just want to congratulate Pam over at 365 Cards.  Today is Day 365.  Looking forward to another 365 days.

What up Dude

Thanks to Jennifer McGuires video on HeroArts yesterday, I managed to print out my digi pics.  Isn't this little fella cute?  I made this card for Card Patterns-Sketch 52.
I'm off to a busy afternoon.  Have to pick kids up at school for a dentist appointment.  Then rush them home, change and into work.  So much for my day off.  I was called in for tonight.  More money, more craft product.
Have a great afternoon.

Pergamano

Afternoon ladies.  I just wanted to share this little beauty with you all.  I started this weeks ago.  It got set aside, because it was taking so long.  They look great when completed, but I find them very time consuming.  Yesterday I had a day to myself, and decided to pull it out and finish.  After searching the web for the umteenth time, to find instrustions on to, I found a video on cutting.  You may not be able to see it clear enough from the picture but half the border is cut out wrong.  I wasn't getting the little x shape.  Yesterday it all became clear, and I managed to finish it up.
Well, it's swimming night so off to feed my little ones and take them to the pool.

Have a Hoppy Day

Doing a quick post while waiting for DH to get home for dinner.  Last night I made this little cutie. The stamp is one that I won last month at Cute Card Thursday, it is from The Angel Company sponsered by Kathe Slack.  Thanks Kathe.
This card covers three challenges.

Card Patterns

Morning ladies.  Just a quick post before heading out the door to work.  Our meeting yesterday at the school went very well.  I haven't pulled out the results from his first assessment in JK, but he is average or above average in everything but his articulation is still a problem.  She has requested Kurzweil for him in the classroom and luckily it is one that can be shared at home.  It may take till next school year to have it approved through the board.  But will be a great help to him when we get it.  Also a great benefit for the entire class.
My quiet morning yesterday, I made this card.  It is for Card Patterns-sketch 51.  This stamp set is one of my faves.  It is from Stampin Up Eastern Influences.  I did the whole card in black and white, stamping the flower twice, coloring it with distress ink and mounting it with foam squares.  I did all the images with black embossing to make them standout a little more.

Here is the sketch.
Have a great day and

House Mouse

Morning ladies.  A bit of quiet time for me.  I have the morning to myself, and a meeting at the school this afternoon with the speech pathologist.  We find out how much the little guy has improved in four years.  It's a fine line, you want him to improve, but you also don't want to loose the extra help in the classroom.  He is needing the EA less and less which is good, but there are still times that he gets frustrated and needs her.
On to my card.  Our local craft store The Craft Nook got in some House Mouse stamps.  They are sooo cute.  I have purchased two, this is the first one.  This card is for 365 Cards-Day 352-Gloria's Sketch.  Well done Gloria, love the sketch.
This is Gloria's sketch.

Happy Family Day

Happy Family Day to everyone out there that is lucky enough to have the day off.  It's nice to have a day that you now the whole family is going to be home.
I did some scrapbooking this morning while having my tea.  A bit of laundry thrown in through out the day.  Some Olympic watching.  The kids found a little hill out behind the house to use for toboganing.  We all went out today, even the dog.  Here's the kids coming down the hill.

And here they are in a little altercation at the bottom. After sledding it was a quick soak in the hot tub to get warm and then dinner.
And here's the hummingbird feeder we left out, hoping to feed some of those winter hummingbirds.  Or a head start for the spring.

Happy Valentines

Happy Valentines to everyone.  It's late but I had to finish this card tonight.  It's for DH.  I'm watching the Olympic's while trying to do this.  Womens Mogels are on.  Last night when I got home from work at 10:30 the kids were still up watching the Opening Ceremonies for the Olympics.  Sam is really into watching the athletes because, her class at school has an asignment to research a Canadian athlete.  On Thursday they did their oral presentations, so she knows the names of some of them.
This card is for:
Little Red Wagon-Challenge #15-Red with Bling.  Not much red on my card but I have pink heart gems.
Cute Card Thursday-Challenge#99-In the name of Love!
Cupcake Craft Challenges-Challenge #77-Red and White all over.

Hope everyone has a Happy Valentines Tomorrow.

Kids Valentine's

This week I have been working on the kids valentine's.  I made three of the little storeage boxes filled with candies for the teachers.  I saw these on Cuttlebug Challenges.  Sam's valentine's have the elephants on them, there are 22.  Grant's have all sorts of vehicles, and there are 19.  We filled little bags with heart candies and attached to each.
DH is away at model club tonight, so it's a quiet nite.  Kids are in bed, I think I'll sit down with my knitting and watch some CSI.

Project 12 January

Well, hurray for me. This is a big accomplishment.  I have finished the first month of Project 12.  Eleven more to go.  This page came together rather quickly, once I got all my pictures together.  I have a problem scrapbooking, when I don't remember to take pictures, or you don't have the camera with you, or like the other night at the concert, the batteries are dead, even the spares in the camera bag.  I am looking forward to a new sketch each month at Scrapbook & Cards Today

I'm off tomorrow, but heading into the school to volunteer. I help out with the Head Lice Checks when I can.

A Blast from the Past

Good morning ladies, happy Sunday.  It's been so nice to be home all weekend with the family.  I had Friday off to go over to Parry Sound for a concert.  My two aunts and I left early in the afternoon and met my cousin (who flew down from Thunder Bay) and her girlfriend, and went out for dinner, then the show. We went to see Deric Ruttan with Hey Romeo opening for him.  Deric is my cousin, it's amazing to see him up on stage.  And to have a band opening his show, it wasn't too many years ago that he was opening for bigger names.  It was a great show.
This card looks like it is a blast from the past.  Something from the 60's.  I cut the vase out of chipboard, stamped the flower stems and made the heart flowers from 3 heart shapes.  It is for Little Red Wagon-Challenge #14-Chipboard.
This little cutie is for Cupcake Craft Challenges-Challenge #76-Four legged & Furry.
The sketch is Card Patterns-Sketch #50.

Snow snow and more snow

It's Monday morning and another weekend of snow.  I'm surprised the buses were running today.  Kids off the school hubby is staying home and I have a quick post to share with you before I'm off to work.
When I started this card I automaticly reached for my patterned paper.  Then thought stamp it. I don't use my stamps enough on cards.
On the larger square I stamped with a red ink.  I used three different flower stamps.  On the pink piece I embossed with pink using a small background stamp I've had for a while.  The blue flowers are stamped with Tim Holtz distress ink.  Really like how they turned out.
Before I forget to put it in, this card is for Cute Card Thursday-Challenge 97-Blooming Gorgeous.  You were to feature flowers, gorgeous flowers on your projects.  The sketch is an older one from Crafty Card Makers.

It's evening and I couldn't post this morning the computer was acting up.  Froze, put up blank windows and then I couldn't shut down.  But alas here is my card as I'm running out the door for Parent Council Meeting at the kids school.
