Happy Monday

Morning everyone.  Just a quick post before I'm off to work.  Here is another wedding card.  I saw one like this on a sight a while ago, but can't remember were it was.  I thought that is so simple and elegant.  So thank you to whoever it was that came up with this idea, it's great.
It's an overcast day here, rain in the forcast.  Good news about that is it will take away the nasty snow. 
This week I'm busy planning the little guys birthday party.  I figured they are off school on Friday, and most people don't go away for Easter till Sunday.  So he wanted to try a sleep over.  He's invited two boys.  They are both bring their bikes so I'm hoping for nice weather so they can be outside most of the day.

Happy Valentines

Happy Valentines to everyone.  It's late but I had to finish this card tonight.  It's for DH.  I'm watching the Olympic's while trying to do this.  Womens Mogels are on.  Last night when I got home from work at 10:30 the kids were still up watching the Opening Ceremonies for the Olympics.  Sam is really into watching the athletes because, her class at school has an asignment to research a Canadian athlete.  On Thursday they did their oral presentations, so she knows the names of some of them.

Friends

Today Samantha's recital went very well. She played with a group of kids, then took her turn and played a solo. She did very well. Now Grant wants guitar lessons. His hands are too small to hold a guitar. When he plays guitar hero he lays the guitar on his lap so he can push the buttons.

Last week I went to a card class at the Craft Nook. We learned how to use watercolors. I enjoy doing these. I've always liked to color. This one was done with pencils. The butterfly is an outline sticker put onto vellum and colored with identa pens.

Hope the start to the week is sunny. (What am I saying, it will be I'm working.)

Gate fold

Well it looks like the rain may clear today. Randy is off to the north again this week, but this time for three days. At least he's not by himself this time.

Here is another 25th anniversary card. It is done with a gate fold, so the two front pieces open up from the middle.

I was at a class last night for watercolor. I'll get those scanned later, so they can be posted later this week.

25th Anniversary

Today has been a lazy day. Another rain day, and a day off by myself. Which hasn't happened for quit a while. Last night was Fun Night at the school. They bring in a bunch of those blow up toys. (Jumping castle, obstacle course, jousting) The kids have a great time. But with the rain they had to set up in the gym. Everyone still had a great time. Although I here Katie the cow was mooing alot, out in the field all by herself, for the cow plop.

This card I stamped and embossed the flower and swirls, and the line border and 25 and sentiment are outline stickers.

Love Birds

OK so the bow isn't the greatest. I can not make bows. This has been a popular card. I made it as a wedding card, and had a request for a verse to be put in for a bridal shower.

It looks like it is going to be a nice weekend. Although the bugs are really bad. I have tomorrow off but have to go in this afternoon til 10:30.

Special Day

This is my favorite of the wedding cards I've done. I think this is the one I'm going to use for the wedding we have in July. The idea came from docraft .

Pyramid cards

Well our Sunday has turned out not bad so far. At least the sun is shining. The wind is quite cool though. But some yard work will get done today.

So far this morning it has been tea and playing nintendo ds with Grant. Cars is what he is stuck on right now. And mom gets to do the ones Grant can't get. We have almost open all the games a couple of times but someone keeps hitting the dumpster and erasing everything. Happy gameing kids.

These cards look better in person than in a picture. They are pyramid. So eack layer of the picture is raised a little.

MP3 madness

Last night and this morning I've been trying to put music on my daughters MP3 player. She's had it for almost a year and not much music on it. It says its transferring but not showing up on player. I'm not that good with the computer, so it takes so long to do anything. Last night my husband showed me another way to do it. This morning she now has Hannah Montanna on 3 times. Hope she likes that one. ipods are so much easier.

This card is similar to another one I did. It's done with stickers. I got the idea from docrafts.

Tulips

Here is another card using that great tulip paper. I have left this one without a sentiment on it, because I wasn't sure what to use it for. That can always be added later.

The butterflies on this are stickers that I placed on velum, then colored in with a marker. I colored small areas at a time, so while the marker was wet I pressed it into glitter dust. I then cut out around the sticker and attached them on with foam squares, to make them stand out a bit.

Well it's another day of snow. The flowers make me think of spring and forget about all the white outside. Two weeks today I'll be bording a plane to the sunny south. My first vacation ever, and I'll be without my husband and kids. A little scarey.

Sorry for the crooked card. I used glue on it and can't lift it up to adjust it.
