Black and White

The long weekend is over. I've got everyone off the school and work, and have five minutes to myself before I have to head out.

I got the idea for this card from a video I watched on using the cuddlebug to emboss. I have always cut out with it. Here I embossed the frame on and embossed flowers into the middle. I thought the black and white would look nice, and it just needed a touch of color on the flowers.

Pyramid cards

Well our Sunday has turned out not bad so far. At least the sun is shining. The wind is quite cool though. But some yard work will get done today.

So far this morning it has been tea and playing nintendo ds with Grant. Cars is what he is stuck on right now. And mom gets to do the ones Grant can't get. We have almost open all the games a couple of times but someone keeps hitting the dumpster and erasing everything. Happy gameing kids.

These cards look better in person than in a picture. They are pyramid. So eack layer of the picture is raised a little.

Long weekend

Once again the weekend is here and its raining. All day Saturday, although I worked all day so it really didn't matter to me. But Randy wanted to do some tree trimming from the winter damage, he had to wait till late afternoon when it cleared.

Here is another baby card and the last one I have made. I like the cute carrage. I colored it with marker.

Little hands

We had thunder storms this morning, with lots of rain. The ground was so wet the dog wouldn't go out this morning. I had to growl at her, then she ran straight to the cover of the bush and straight back to the house.

Cold season

I thanked my son today for sharing his cold with me. If the kids get sick I usually get it too. The soar throat, runny nose, ( I can't believe your nose can run so much), runny eyes, and sooo tired.

Here is a card to match the last one. One for a girl and one for a boy. The fox I stamped with the glue pad and flocked it. So he is fuzzy.

Baby cards

This weekend was really nice. Although it rained all day Saturday. I was home with the family. I did some card making. After supper we went across the road to visit the neibours. It was a very nice evening. They have a son in collage who is home for the summer, and a daughter in high school. Their two took our two downstairs, and that was pretty much the last time we saw them till just after 11 when they wanted to go home. They had such a good time. Although the 188 summersalts Sam did made her neck hurt. And the attatude from a 10 yr old when she doesn't get her sleep. Sunday was a little touchy. But mothers day was nice. Subs for dinner so I didn't have to cook. Not much yard work done, it was quite cool out. Randy did polish the rims on the tires of both cars.

Last week I was asked for a baby card. I only had a couple made up so what a good excuse to make a card. I need more of a variety. This week I have several baby cards to show.

I stamped the bird stamp with my glue pad then put yellow flock on, to add a bit of color to the bird I put a bit of stickles on the flower.

Happy Monday

Busy day

Its Saturday just another day of the week for me. I was up and in to clean the store this morning. Stopped at the craft store to check out their sale for Card Making day. Bought the nassecities today(glue dots, tape runner, envelopes) and they got in some decoupage sheets that look just beautiful. I'm going to try a couple of them. I'm home again to rest my arm a bit, do some card making, clean up after the kids(a neverending job). Make super and off to work at supper time. But tomorrow is a day at home, just me and the kids. Hubby is off to a RC car race.

This stamp is from Stampin' Up. I even stamped one of the flowers on the button and embossed it in clear.

1st birthday

This card I made for a co-worker of Randy's from the Ottawa office. Her little guy is turning one very soon.

This is the card I came up with for him. I used the glue pad to stamp the top of the cupcake and the candle, and then added glitter to it.

Day off

Its been a quiet day off. Had the dog to the vets first thing this morning for her yearly check up. Came home and wasted alot of time playing around with the music on iTunes trying to change around the music on my iPod.

I made this card last night. I believe I saw it on heroarts. They have so many good ideas. The cupcakes are colored with a brush and my little cat eye inks. I saw this technique on a video recently. It was either heroarts or I think Linda Duke site. She has had alot of videos I've been watching lately.

Rainy day

Awhile back I put all my stamps in a binder. I don't have alot of space, and I wanted them all together. I stamped the image onto white cardstock, then placed the stamp on a piece of film used for overhead projectors. I then slid it into a page protector. That works great, but when your looking for a stamp to do a project, you have to get the binder out and sometimes the stamps are hard to tell what they are, especially the words. So I saw a while back on someones site(don't even know who's it was a day I was just surfing for ideas) a book they had stamped all their stamps in. So it's taken me a couple of week to do this. I had a small scrapbook just laying around, and I stamped an image of all my stamps in it. Now all I have to do is looking through this one when I'm designing my cards.

It has rained here all day. I have laundry to do of course (it's Sunday). I haven't even gotten out of my PJ's today. The kids are board today they can't go outside. They have pulled all the couchons off the couch downstairs to make a fort on it. Along with all the extra bankets they have in their rooms. THEY have to clean it up.
