Well this card doesn't have 900 pieces but it took an afternoon to make while watching Alvin and Chipmunks with the kids.
The sketch is from Scrap n Stamp Aug Sketch Challenge #4. I used this sketch for 365 Cards Day 184-Movie Monday. The color pink was the only thing that inspired me. I even googled the movie, but this is what I came up with.
The kids and I went out to town today to get haircuts for school. After about four salons on the main street, with one hair stylist in them, we went to First Choice and got right in. We then had an afternoon of movies. We deserved the break, we made grape jelly this morning. yummmy
Have a great day :)

365 Cards Day 183-Super Sketchy Sunday
This card came together soooo fast. Last night my husband made a comment that my cards should have 900 pieces to them like his model kits, that way it would take longer to do a card.
I just love these images from crafty computer paper. Todays card is for 365 Cards Day-183-Super Sketchy Sunday.
Have a happy day.
Dull Day
It just looks like a fall day outside. Rainy, dull, and cool. We haven't had much of a summer this year. It seems to be a crafting day if I can get away with it. I've already spent a couple hours on line checking out the blogs, and ording some supplies I cann't get in town. So I thought I'd show you this card I did a couple weeks ago for Scrap n Stamp Aug challenge #3. I love the way the gold emboss looks on the dark green cardstock.
Happy crafting ;0)

365 Cards Day 182
Todays card at 365 Cards is Day 182-Sporty Saturday. You had to use a ball on your card. The only ball I could find was this sticker and thought this might come in handy for a party invitation.
Have a happy evening :)
365 Cards Day 181
What a busy stressful day at work today. So I came home and relaxed making a couple cards for the challenge at 365 Card. This one is for Day 181-White Space. You were to keep all decorations in the dark areas. The theme of the card is for Cute Card Thursday Challenge #75-New Beginnings. You were to make a card on new things in your life.
Have a happy evening :)

Going Vintage
Good morning ladies. Yesterday the challenge at 365 Cards Day 180-Going Vintage. I thought I would have a hard time with this one because I have not vintage stamps that I could use. Then I remembered on crafty computer paper they had downloadable images. I checked it out and there are quit a few vintage christmas images under the free downloads. So this is what I came up with last night.
Must go, off to work today. Just over a week left and it's back to school. On to a regular hectic routine.
Have a happy day :)

Bathroom reno
I was messing with my pictures, trying to find some of Grant art work for a scrapbook. I was trying to find pictures of our old bathroom. Gloria had wanted pictures when I said the other day it was done. This is why I have such a hard time scrapbooking, because I never have pictures. So I took a picture of the ugly flooring that is outside the bathroom, which ran into the bathroom and actually all through the dinning room and kitchen. This will eventually be hard wood. Which is sitting the porch. Our new bathroom floor is ceramic tile. The biggest improvement to the room, along with a normal size tub. Our tub was so shallow you couldn't soak properly in it. (Small bathroom)
Have a good evening :)
2 for 1
My shaped card today doesn't fill as many challenges as week, but it fits two. I've enjoyed doing the shape cards, they are fun. Firstly the apple at Cupcakes challenge #54 was to make a shaped card. Day 178 at 365 Cards was Back to School.
My second card is Day 179 at 365 Cards - Checkerboard Backgroung. My son really likes this one. He asked if I could save it for his birthday. The idea came from a matching game in one of his truck books.
Must go to straighten the house and get ready for work. As my nintendo junky kids play their games. I don't know what they will do when school starts, because they can't play nintendo during the week.
Have a great day :)

Card Pattern Challenge
I am trying card paterns this week for the first time. This is sketch #29, along with my version of the sketch. Hope everyone likes.
It's 10 am and I have Guitar Hero blairing in the background. My ten year old is really good at it. The little guy is on the floor with a pile of cars dumped all around him. Only two weeks left and it's back to school.
Happy crafting ;0)

Monogram Monday
It's been a long day. My first day back after a weeks holiday. And a full day too. But I finally get time to put a quick post in while the kids are having their bedtime snack.
At 365 cards -day 177 yesterday the challenge was to include one monogram. I made this for a fathers day card, but it could be a birthday card as well. I love this little car stamp from SU.
Have a great evening :)

Santa's Train
Morning everyone. Tis my last day off, it's back to work tomorrow. (Here's my sad face:( .)
Today's card is for 365 Cards -Day 176-Super Sketchy Sunday. I bought some new Christmas stamps last week. Here is one of them. I love the train with Santa. This is my first attemp to color with markers. Not a bad job.
I was cheering yesterday. Last August we ripped apart our bathroom right down to the studs. It's been a long process. I was in charge of drywalling. Had no idea what to do, but I learned. The house had a bad drywaller, you can see all the seams. The bathroom looks great, only a couple of little spots, but they can be covered by something. Well yesterday the vanity went back in the last bathroom fixture. We were able to brush our teeth in the bathroom and not in the kitchen sink last night. The only thing left to do is the trim.
Have a great day :(

Sunday
Well with being off all week it was hard to keep track of the days. This card I made yesterday for 365 cards-day 175, only to notice this morning that it should have been posted yesterday. Oh well, I just had to show it anyway. You had to layer stamps, without masking, but overlap the stamps. I stamped the circles on first and then stamped the flower overtop.
Have a great day ;)

Lazy Saturday
Today's card is one I made for scrap n stamp Aug challenge #2. I really like this tree stamp from SU. Yesterday I was in the craft store to get a little scrap book for Grant. They had some new christmas stamps in. So I have to make some christmas cards to play with my new toys. But first a short break from cards, I have one page left in my cruise vacation album. I must get it finished.
Only three more days of my holidays. Back to work on Tuesday.
Have a great day ;0)

One card four challenges
Sometimes I amaze myself. I've been checking out different challenges lately, keeping an eye on sites to see if I could participate. This week with being home I've had more time to card. My first card qualifies for four challenges. First on cuttlebug challenge-Be Inspired #45-Shape Cards. I thought this was interesting. My color scheme was for caardvarks-My Stampbox Challenge. The card must be black, white, and hot pink. The butterfly shape and flowers makes me think of summer, and that was cute card Thursday-Lazy Dayz! a summer inspired card. And lastly 365 cards-Day 173-Mixed Message. You had to incorporate 3 ways to create a sentiment. I used stamp for the T, hand write the rest of thank, and the U is a sticker.
My second card is the first time I have made a card for cupcake craft challenges. This challenge is week #53-Something Sweet. I guess the tea cups aren't really sweet unless you have lots of sugar in your tea, but the cupcakes around the outside are.
Hope you enjoy my cards today.
Have a great day ;)

ABC's and 123's
Today's card is for 365 cards - day 172-ABC's and 123's. You were to use alphabet stickers and at least one number. Here is what I came up with. I've had this owl stamp for awhile and just haven't had the chance to use it.
Today is house work day. The dog hair is getting a little thick on the floor, and the laundry is pileing up. (It's all clean just needs to be folded and put away.)
Have a great day ;0)

Tuesday's Trio
My first card is for 365 Cards-Day 171-Tuesday's Trio. I had such a hard time coming up with a triangle that when I had the ice-cream cone done I thought I was finished. Forgot had to do a button and stickers. The button is the cherry on top and the stickers are the jewels as the sprinkles. I saw a card like this on Card Maker and thought I was the cutest, so it's not totally my idea.
My second card is for Cute Card Thursday-Challenge#73-At the Beach. I had fun with this one. There wasn't alot of thinking for it. I new exactly what I wanted to do. The water swirls are done with the Cuttlebug. The umbrella and towel are a sticker, and the cute dancer is a stamp.
I've had a late start to my day. The little guy and I slept till 10:00. Sam wants to go to the animal shelter again today. We were just there last week, so I think we'll try a petting zoo I saw a sign for. Their library books had to go back yesterday so that has to be done today, or I might just try to make it another card day. (ha ha like they would let me do that) Although Sam got her scrapbook out to work on yesterday, and Grant just asked me if he could make one.
Have a happy day ;)

365 cards challenge
Todays card is for 365 Cards Day 169-Super Sketchy Sunday. I'm not to sure I like this one. I had a really hard time with this sketch. It sort of looks like a window looking into the night sky.
Today I lazed around for the morning with the kids. Checked some blogs and other card sites. Played nintendo DS Zelda with the kids. Spent the afternoon card making. When we went outside to go for a walk it started raining. So that was a good time for me to post.
Have a great day ;0)

Friendship
Good morning everyone. A quick post today, then we are pulling the toilet out of the only bathroom we have in the house, and finishing putting down the tile today. All before I head to work at 3:00. My dad dropped of his motor home yesterday (I think this is the only weekend this month that they aren't using it) so we at least have a toilet to go to.
I whipped this card up last night. It is for 365 Cards-Day 164-Color Scheme. The colors to use were red, golden yellow, brown, orange, blue. I found this scrap of patterned paper that was brown with yellow and orange flowers that I wanted to use, and I just went from there. Hope you like it.
Have a great weekend ;0)

Thank you
I had an early shift today so I managed to get a card made this afternoon. I hid in the basement in the cool, it's been so hot the last few days. We finally have our summer.
This card is for 365 cards day 166-Card Recipe. I had a bit of a problem with this. I got most of the card made and realized it had to be a specific size. I forgot the glitter, but the paper is glittery which is hard to see in the picture and I used halographic embossing powder over my stamped sentiment. This is the final outcome.
Have a great evening ;)

My first scrapbook challenge
This is my first try at a scrapbooking challenge. When I received my e-mail for this months pagemaps, I checked out the blog as usual. As soon as I saw the sketch for the challenge I new what picture to use. The paper was a different story. After searching through all my paper I found a nice blue-green color, only to turn it over and find this piece on the other side. While trying to figure out where to cut it, I decided I just couldn't cut it, and used it the way it was. I add some bling to it and this is my take on the challenge.
Have a great day ;0)

Kid time
Today's card is from 365 Days day 163-Try a Technique-Masking. This is my first attempt at masking, so I kept it simple.
Last night I took my daughter to the movies, we saw the latest Harry Potter. When she was yonger we started reading the books to her at bedtime. We she could read on her own she has continued to read them. She is on #4. I had to start reading them on my own. I started from the beginning, and am now on #6. So last night was a spoiler, because I'm only part way through.
Today is my day off, it will be spent doing kid things today. Grant is just now setting up his wooden train set so we can play. This afternoon Sam wants to go to the Animal Shelter to groom the kittens. Zellers is have a shoe sale, so it's ovver there to get two pairs of shoes each for back to school.
Have a great day ;)

Cute Card Thurs
This card today is for two new challenges I'm trying. Cutecardthursday -challenge #72-Teally Good. The card must be teal and red.
The second one is Scrapnstamp-Aug sketch challenge #1. And you had to follow a sketch.
The flowers are cut with my cuttlebug out of fun foam. It gives them more dimension. The centre of the flowers are big brads that I added glitter to.
I'm excited. Registration for an all weekend crop opened this morning at 9 am. I've never done one before, just an al day. It only took 3 redials before I got through. The ladies will be busy in there this morning.
I'm off to work, must get going, my sitter will be here soon.
Have a great day ;0)

Christmas
Best Friends
Morning everyone. I was right yesterday, I did find a few hours to card. A friend of Randy's from Toronto came by, so I snuck off to my space to create. I actually got alot acomplished. Finishing touches on a scrapbook page I did for pagemaps. A card I was haveing problems with, it just didn't look right I got a suggestion from the lovely ladies at the craft store. And two other cards to complete three challenges. wow.
Today's card is for 365 cards day162-Super Sketchy Sunday. It doesn't show up well in the picture, but the dragonfly in the corner is glittered.
I'm awaiting the return of my children. After their first camping trip with poppa and gramma Dorothy. They had fun we talked to them every night before bed. Be glad to have them back though, its been pretty quiet here without them.
Have a great day :0)

Get Well
Good weekend to everyone. I have a three day weekend. My dad took the kids camping for the weekend, so I gave my hour away for today so Randy and I could have the whole weekend to get stuff done around the house and have some quiet time to ourselves. We started tiling the bathroom floor last night. I has to be done in three sections. Only to make it convinient to still use the toilet. As you can't walk on the tiles tile the glue is dry. So there won't be much card making going on. But I plan to try to squeeze at least one card in. I'm sure he can't stay away from his RC car all weekend.
Well to the card. Last weekend my uncle had a mild stroke. He is back home now. Doing better. Bad me I haven't been out to see him. But I did do this nice card for him. Hope to deliver it this weekend.
Have a great day ;0)

365 Days challenge day158
Here is my card for yesterday, day158 Whats your Sign? I had no signs in stamps or stickers, I couldn't believe it. So off to the craft store I went, and can you believe they only had one sheet of stickers that I wasn't too stuck on. Then the girl pointed out this paper. I thought it would be great for a male birthday card. On the reverse is a brown background with outlines of cars.
Looking forward to the weekend. Not that I'll get much card making done. But it will be quiet. The kids leave tomorrow morning to go camping with poppa for four days. One is looking forward to it the other not so much. Our plans for the weekend is to put down a ceramic tile floor in the bathroom. (finally) We started renovating the bathroom a year ago. All that is left is the floor and put the cabinet and sink back in. The cabinet has sat in the living room for a year. I don't know what I'll put my plants on when it goes back to the bathroom.
Have a great day ;0)

365 Cards challenge day 157
This is my take on day 157-Imagine This:Sunflowers. I found this paper last year and just love it. This is the last piece of it that I had, I didn't even have to cut it. I like it when thing work out well.
Have a great day ;)

365 cards challenge day 155
Here is day 155 Super Sketchy Sunday for 365 Cards. As soon as I saw this sketch I thought of a Christmas card. I have no idea why. But here is what I came up with.
This is now Monday evening and the long weekend is finally over. After working all day I'm a bit tired. I at least had yesterday off with the family. I don't know if its been the weather or what, but the cottagers this year have been rather rood. (Well some of the locals too.) Only one more big one to go before the kids are back in school. (My daughter can't wait till school starts again.)
Must go now to get them headed to bed, so I can relax in the quiet.
Have a great evening :)

Warm Wishes
I have had a busy week. With working all day, by the time I get home make supper and get kids to bed there isn't that much time left. This week I've been working on cards I have already done. I've given them away and wanted a copy to sell. When I was at the craft store picking up flower stickers I was out of, I found this cute cat sticker. So decided to make it like my flower one. Thought it would make a good kids card.
Have a great weekend :0)
