Class project

Here is the mess of my dining room table.  Twenty-four cards for Father's Day.  Sam had wanted me to go into her class to make a Father's Day cards with the class.  I just don't have the time and left it too late, so the last three nights we have been cutting and glueing to make kits for the kids to put together.  I cut all the paper, had Sam stamp while I heat embossed the stars.  The biggest part was making the medalions.  They took longer than I expected.  I put a magnet on the back so it can be taken off the card and used as a frigde magnet.    I left the front off the medalion, so the kids could write what they wanted on it.  This morning she was off to school with her bag of parts.  Good luck to her and the class.

Here is what the end product should look like.  I got the card from Hero Arts.  They have great ideas.  And Jennifer McGuire had a great gift set for teachers, which I'm card lifting to make for the kids teachers.

Just a couple cards

Evening everyone.  I had started out this morning to post my cards, but got side tracked by the little pop up from blogger on the new page designs.  I started messing around and next thing it was time to go to work.
I downloaded the desings for these cards from Crafty Computer Paper.  Good for the car buff dad.
Hope everyone has a good weekend.  They are calling for rain, but lets hope they're wrong.

Lost those creative juices

I've had a hard time lately not only with time to card make but the motivation.  Last night I managed to create two cards.  Although one was a real struggle.  After change numerous parts of it, I still not sure I like it.  But DH thinks its OK.
This one I made as a Fathers Day card, since its creeping up fast.  It follows Card Patterns Sketch 67.  It also is for Cupcake Craft Challenges #94-Dazzle Us-to use something sparkly on your project.  I uses a green gem on the dragonfly head and pearls by the grasses.

I liked this sketch so much I made two cards with it.  This one is for:
Card Patterns Sketch 67
Cute Card Thursday Challenge #115-A color combo-black, blue, orange
Caardvarks June Challenge-wet or dry embossing
Cupcake Craft Challenges #94-Dazzle Us-use something sparkly on your project.

One day late

Morning everyone.  Well it's better late than never.  I had spent some quiet time yesterday morning making my card.  Then just before lunch I got a call from work to start early.  It left me no time to post.  So here I am quickly before heading off this morning.

I managed to do three challenges in one card.
Crafty Card Makers-Challenge #22-Least & Most
Use your fav color (green) and least fav (brown) color together.
Cute Card Thursday-Challenge #13-No designer paper

Fathers Day

So far the sun is still shinning here. I have been scanning cards this morning. I have some errands to do in town then maybe some card making. I still don't have a dress for the wedding. It's only two weeks away.

This card I found on scor pal. The link came in a newsletter from CardMaker. Right now I can't seem to find it. I'll check again later to find the web page. The shirt is folded from a 4x6 piece of paper using scor pal. This one is for my husband.

Have a great day :)

New week

This is the last father's day card I have made. Last night I finished the kids birthday invitations. This stamp came from Stampin'Up with the car stamp from yesterday. I think I got the card idea from the stampin' up idea book too. Right now I can't remember.
Have a great week

Rainy Day

It's a blue rainy day. The only good thing the rain will take away the snow. It's Sunday, a relaxing day of house work, laundry, drywalling the bathroom(still), and driving my daughter to her friends.
I saw this card in a Stampin' Up idea book. This is my favorite stamp to use for male cards. You can leave it uncolored, which looks great too.
I have to get busy doing invitations for the kids birthday party. Just haven't felt like card making this week. I've been reading Harry Potter. I have to keep on the books my daughter is reading. Just to make sure they are appropriate for her. When I went away I watched a movie on the plane. She had gotten the book from the school library. It became clear to me that they don't watch what books the kids are taking out, and making sure they are age appropriate.
Bye for now have a great rainy day

Friday

Another end to a week. It seems to go by so fast. I'm always so busy. Though things are better with the second car. I've done my cleaning job this morning, home in time for lunch. Vaccuumed the house. Had to run back into town for bread that I forgot this morning. (Need it for supper) Now its time to start supper, so I can eat and off to work for 5:30.

Here is another Father's Day card. This week end I have to make birthday invitations for both kids. They are sharing a pool party this year.

Have a great weekend

Freedom

It's really nice to finally have two cars. No more rushing in the morning. I can take the time to blog before I'm off to work. Yesterday my daughter had violin. Usually I would drop her off, go get my husband from work, go back for her. Yesterday I asked my husband what I would do for a half hour while I waited for her. He said he would pick her up I could just go home. It's going to take a bit to get used to this. Freedom.

A couple of weeks ago I made a few father's day cards. This one uses a stamp from Stampin' Up that I'm very fond of.

Off to work now.
Have a great day
