Today the girls can finally quit reading their battle books. This was the finals, and they didn't make it to go onto regionals. But they have done really well to make it this far. Way to go girls.
Onto cards. Last night I managed to do not one but two anniversary cards. Still trying to restock on some themes for the craft sale the end of April. These are both for 25th Anniv.
Hope everyone has an enjoyable evening. Mine, I think will be in front of the TV, it's tiring sitting a theatre all day watching the kids work so hard. (Not to mention nerve racking when our team was up)

Pink Poodles
Well, I got some stamps colored last night while watching the Juno's. Unfortunately Deric didn't win, his catagory wasn't even air on TV. He was beat by Johnny Reid (Country album of the Year), congratulations Johnny.
This morning I created another pet sympathy card.
I started by stamping the house on watercolor paper. I then placed a mask over the top of it, and inked blue for the sky and green for the grass with distress ink. The house is colored with watercolor pencils, as well as the poodle. The clouds are Perfect Pearls mixed in water and painted on. And I found a few little flowers in my stash. Hope you enjoy.
Enjoy the sunshine.

Just a quick post
Just a quick post about an awesome blog i found from Bobbi. Link your blog-over at Made by Momo, is a spot to link you blog to if you have less than 200 followers. What a great idea. I'll be taking some time tomorrow to go the list while I'm home with the kids on a PA Day.
Hoping to get some cards made while watching the Juno's tonight. Hoping to catch a glims of my cousin Deric Ruttan. His country album Sunshine is up for Album of the year. All the best Deric, I have my fingers crossed for you.

Happy Saturday
Happy weekend everyone. It's been a great week off, and today gets better. First, last night I was out to Crop Night at the Craft Nook. I managed to get a LO almost complete, after a ruff start. (Had it all layed out on a 12x12, and it was actually 8x8 that I was doing) It was another fun night with the ladies. Thanks Linda & Lilian.
Sam has a birthday she is going to this afternoon for a sleepover. And to make it better her brother is going too. So it's a night at home for mom and dad without kids. That never happens. This is the card she made to take.
A little brake from scrapbooking last night. Lilian had this card ready for us to do. Thanks Lilian.
This is a new line I've been working on for my sale. I showed you two the other day. They are pet sympathy cards. Animals have become a great part of our families.
Off to deliver the kids. Have a wonderful weekend.

March Break almost over
March Break is almost over. It's been a good week home with the kids. Wednesday DH started holidays with us, and we were off to Lindsay to visit his mom. We took her out to lunch, a little visit with her in her room, and then a trip to Barrie to do some shopping. A trip to Michaels, although they have such a large selection of everything, when I'm in there I never now what to buy. But did come out with a few new items. Two were new stamp sets, dog and cat.
On my first two cards the foot prints are stamped and embossed in brown. I'm using up some of my Basic Grey paper sets. I did a dog and cat.
These two cards were done for Card Patterns-Sketch #106.
Here is the sketch.
This one I made for a new family that has moved into a new home close to us. They moved up here from the city at Christmas. They have two kids, a daughter in my daughters class, and a son that is in my sons class.
This card is for Sentimental Sundays-Go Green
and CCM Spotlight-Make your own designer paper.
May paper is a background stamp embossed with green, and inked with pink and yellow distress ink.
have a great weekend.

Project 12 January
Good morning everyone. Hope your having a wonderful weekend. I'm working it all, but come Monday I'm off for a week with the kids on March Break. That will give me lots of time to play with my new camera.
I'm a little late with my project 12 LO for January, as I was deciding what to do. When it was almost complete my crafting area was turned upside down. It is almost back, good enough that I can get some work done. Two years ago hubby and I went on a trip to England. A good friend of his was getting married over there and wanted us to attend. ( They both live here in town, but she is from Manchester.) So my topic this year is to complete our album of the trip. I have shrunk the LO down to 8x8.
After watching a video the other day by Jen McQuire I was inspired to try the kissing technique. I used the solid flower with Color Box chalk, then stamped it onto a words stamp, then onto my card. Cool technique. I have made six of these cards as a set, as I have comitted myself to a craft sale. Trying to get rid of the many cards piling up around here.
Have a great weekend

SNOW DAY
Why does a snow day always fall on my day off? A good amount of snow, followed by rain, makes the back roads a little trecherous for school buses. Can't wait for spring. I have accomplished something today. I managed to organize my craft area again, in its new location. Good enough that I can get some crafting done. I should have my January Project 12 ready to post tomorrow.

Grade 6 Curling
I still have no cards to show. My craft space is still upside down. Although DH moved it all to the other side of the basement the other night, I just have to organize a bit and I'll be back in business.
This morning I spent at the curling club. The last day of Sam's gr 6 curling. Most of the kids have enjoyed the experience. Today I could not keep warm and spent most of the time in the obsevation room where there was heat.
Good news on my camera. The Staples store in town did manage to track one down for me. From a store 2 hours away, so it will take a couple days to get it here. Hurray, a new toy to play with.
Sam with her bf.

Clay Buttons
The weekend is almost over. This is the first one in a long time that I've had a whole weekend off and not asked for it. Yesterday was shopping day. And I went to pick up a new camera. I had noticed that in the flyer on Friday Staples had the Kodak Slice on for $99.98. I really don't need a new one, but it kind of caught my eye, how it had sharing software. But no luck our store was sold out, even the floor model, and so were two other stores. They are still trying to track one down, but I'm not expecting it. We'll see tomorrow.
Again my crafting space has been turned upside down. We changed our satelite provider this week. So my craft area had to be moved away from the TV so the guy could get near it to work. Some day I will have a permanant space.
I've been working on a layout, putting buttons on it. I didn't have the size of button that I wanted to use. So today it was onto the computer to find out how to make clay buttons. I had bought my clay quit a few months ago, so I think it is on its way out. It seemed really hard to work out and mold, but I did manage to make a few. I painted them with acrylic paint to match the layout, and varnished them. Here is the link I followed.
Here they are in the making.
Here they are finished. My little ones painted and ready for my layout.
