Cards 10 & 11

Evening everyone.  Hope everyone is having a great weekend.  Me, working all weekend.  Must start on my Christmas cards, I have a craft sale in a few weeks.  I'm trying to come up with simple things for Sam to make and sell.  She's paid for a table all on her own.  Wanting to raise money to help the homeless.  So if anyone has any suggetions on simple gift ideas, please pass them on.

I have my last two cards from the card class to show you.  The stockings is another that is cut from patterned paper.  The stockings are outlined with a stardust pen.

The other is stamped onto patterned paper, and one stamped on white and pop dotted on.  With a small bow.

Card #8&9

Evening everyone.  Fall is turning, our wet weather will soon be snow.  -1 this morning when we got up.  And our upstairs stove is not working.  Will have to get that fixed next week.

Two cards to share.  The first was to show us how to part of patterned paper.  The strip with holly on it is from a sheet of patterned paper, then layered on cardstock and mounted on to card.  The berries were dotted with red stickles.

The second is a special fold.  The two outside folded to meet in the middle.  Covered with patterned paper.  The image is embossed  in gold, giving it an elegant look.

Christmas Album

Morning everyone.  Ahh, two days in a row off with nothing planned.  Finally I can get some work done around the house.  Back to painting, Randy is itchin to do some more flooring.  I have a closet waiting for me to sand down the door frame, repaint, and paint the inside.

One kid home today sick, I had to go pick her up yesterday.  I think she passed on her upset stomach to me.
Here is todays card.  This one started out on white paper. The strip was inked with yellow, orange, and red distress inks, then the image was stamped in black on top.  This was then mounted on the copper, and then onto the card.  Sentiment was stamped in black.

I'm doing two cards today.  I love the tree on this one.  It was so simple to make, and looks so pretty.  You will see that I have used the tree on one of the LO below.

As pomised I finally got my pages from the weekend photographed.  The pics aren't that good, I just couldn't find the right light today.

Card #5

Evening everyone.  What a long tiring day.  With lack of sleep all weekend, and back to work today.  Parent council meeting went well tonight.  We have to raise alot of money this year to pay for playground equipment.  It falls apart all at the same time.  This year we have a kindergartener in a wheel chair, and it would be nice if he had equipment to play on too.
My card tonight is a simple one.  The background is embossed in a flower pattern.  The green is also embossed on coordinations paper and sanded.  A border punch was used on white paper.  The tree is a stamp, cut out and pop dotted on

scrap weekend

Wow, what an awesome weekend.  Twenty seven hours of scrapbooking.  I actually managed to accomplish something this time.  Several pages for last years Christmas album.  Lots of chatter and laughter.  New techniques learned.  Alot of hard work from the ladies at the Craft Nook and their families to make the weekend very enjoyable for forty ladies.

I will get my pages scanned this week to share.  Now, here is card #4.  Blue makes for such a pretty Christmas card, reminds me of the cold.  The three white stripes are script stamp embossed in silver on a shiny white paper.  The silver ribbon is fuzzy reminds me of tinsil.  The penquins were stamped and colored with black and orange markers.

Card # 3

Four hours of scrapbooking.  Three pages almost done.  I just have to take back some supplies that I left behind, not wanting to lug everything with me.  Tomorrow there is a make and take, and a class in the afternoon.

My card for tonight was done to show us how you can use up your scraps of paper. The trees are white embossed.

Card #2

Well it was a hecktick day at work.  Home to make soup for supper, and off to lessons.  Thinking when I signed the kids up for lessons (Grant swimming, Sam self defence), that they were all in the same building.  NOT. Half hour before Sam's lesson I checked the book to see what room she would be in, only to find out it was a totally diffent location.  I am now driving back and forth across town to drop off, pick up.  Only seven more weeks.
Here is another card from the card class. Love the silver paper, it adds so much to the card.  And the cute snowmen are from decorative paper.
Off to try and start packing up supplies to take with me tomorrow night.  27 hours of scrapbooking this weekend.  Can't wait, but can't seem to get myself organized.

enjoyable card class

Finally I have managed to get my card pics accessible. I have 11 Christmas cards to share with you.  On Saturday I attended a card class put on by the Craft Nook, our local craft store. It was a wonderful day.  Lillian and Linda are always good for a few laughs, making their classes very enjoyable.  And then there is a stop at the store on the way home, to purchase supplies that were used in class.

This week I'm busy getting ready for a scrap weekend with the same ladies.  27 hours of scrapbooking, yah hoooo!!!  Last night I spent organizing pictures on the computer so I can decide what ones I will need to print.  My first project is to finish last year Christmas album.  I tried to take pictures everyday for the month of December, to show getting ready for Christmas.

Enjoy, happy crafting

Fall Leaves

Well lets start this again. I started Thursday trying to post.  We are trying out a new provider for internet, but couldn't get it to work on the family computer, which I scan all my cards on. No internet, no getting picture for post.  Try picture with camera, download onto tablet, write post.  Publish, wait, wait, wait, stuck in publish.  Well it's a good thing I saved pic to picsa album.  One computer left, now on laptop trying to post before I miss all the challenges.

Turkey Turkey

Jusyt a simple card to show you today. I wanted to use one of my extra turkey images, so this is what I came up with last night.
I did a centre open card, just because I haven't done one in quite a while. Mounted decorative paper on the outside, as well as in the inside to match. A little doodle around the outside. Inked the edge of the image and lined him up to the left edge of the card. Three little dew drops in the bottom right corner.

Have a great Tuesday

Beautiful sunset

Just a litle sunset to share with you. What a beautiful end to a long weekend. As I was in the kitchen peeling apples to go in the freezer. I was able to enjoy this beautiful sunset. Although the camera didn't capture the full pink of the sky.
Back to work tomorrow, everyone enjoy their week.

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian blog friends.  Whether you have already has your turkey dinner, or you will be enjoying it tomorrow.
We had a lovely dinner, just Randy the kids and I.  So much food.  Potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn, turkey, stuffing, cranberries, gravy, and cant forget the pie.  We settled on apple pie and are saving the pumpkin for tomorrow with left overs.
I made this cute little Tom Turkey to sit at everyones place at the table.  He is a digi stamp from Meljen's Designs found through Whimsy Stamps.  I managed to print out six of the little cuties, which is good for me, because most times I get so frustrated trying to get them all on the page I give up.  He is colored with watercolor pencils.  When cutting out I left a triangle shape underneath him so it could be folded back so he sits up.

Happy Turkey Day

Manna Food Drive

I'm very proud of my little girl tonight.  She was out collecting for the Food Bank with some of her classmates tonight.  I believe it is headed up by the hockey team.  Both the grade 7 & 8 teachers are on the team, and welcomed the help of their students.  She had a great time, and is willing to go again on the next one.  There may be help for her yet.

Let It Snow

Happy Monday everyone.  Hope you all had a great weekend.  Me, well I worked all weekend, so didn't have much time for anything.  DH did start the flooring.  He got a bit down and it is going to look great when it's done.

I did sit down last night to make a card.  I started out, I wanted to do some spraying.  I had mixed up some mists using pearl ex the other night.  But the one I wanted to use clogged and I couldn't get it to spray.  So I distressed my image instead using a little chalk ink.  Colored the snowmans hat with markers, and paninted him with a mixture of stickles and water, to make him sparkle.  I went around the edges and filled the little bubbles from the image with liquid pearl dots.  And voila la.
