Seeing Bee's

My card for today covers three challenges.First the sketch is for Scrap n Stamp Sketch 4.  Their sketches have had alot of laying on them this month.  I had fun with this one.  The coloring is for Cute Card Thursday-Challenge 79-Buzz off.  Your card had to be black and yellow color combo.  And the third is  Cupcake Craft Challenges-Cute as a Bug.  You could interpret anyway you wanted, as long as you include bugs.

Here's the sketch.

And here's my card.

Have a great day ;0)

Halloween Birthday Centrepiece

Well this was another tough one from Cuttlebug Challenges.  I'm good with cards, but it takes me a long time to put together anything else.  There was alot of thought that went into this pumpkin.  I was trying to figure out how to make a paper pumkin, and thought the real thing would look better.  The pumpkin is filled with candy and some pencils to be used as give aways.  Decorated with bats and spiderweb ghosts.

Hope you enjoy.

Have a great evening ;0)

Caardvarks Sketchfest Thursday

Well here it is Thursday and I have managed to keep up the cards.  Although today was a little tight.  It is now 10pm and I have just scanned my card into the computer.  Glad I didn't use anything that took too long to dry because it would have been all over my scanner.  Hubbie would have been real impressed.  This afternoon has been a real rush.  My youngest came home from school with a sign up sheet for basketball.  Of course he's interested but practice started tonight.  Registration was who nows when, (that wasn't clear on the form).  Practice started at 5pm it was 4pm when they got home.  So a quick call to hubbie to say we won't be here when you get home, and supper will be late, and we were off.  Things went well, we weren't the only ones that hadn't registered ahead.  An hour of basketball then home to cook supper.  Then it was almost bed.  But I managed to pull off a card.  It went together so quickly.  I like it when things go smoothly.

Here is the sketch for Caardvards Sketchfest Thursday.  As I looking through the challenges I noticed it also qualities for 365 Cards-Day 206_Tuesdays Triplets.  You had to use three things on your card.  Three of anything, anywhere.

Heres my card ;0)

Card Patter Sketch 33

Quick post today before I head to work.  Here is my card for Card Patterns-Sketch 33.  I found this cute Christmas paper and thought it would go well with my little gingerbread stamp.

Happy crafting ;0)

Home alone

I finally got a day home to myself.  Two cards accomplished for four challenges, between loads of laundry, and cleaning the house.
The first one is for Caardvarks sketchfest Wednesday.  It also is for 365 Cards Day 207-DIY:Patterned Paper.  You had to make your own patterned paper any way as long as you started with a "clean slate".  I stamped with glue pad onto white paper and then sprinkled with glitter.  Here is my card.

My second card is for Cute Card Thursday-Challenge #78-Hidden Treasure.  The tag slides out of a pocket with the sentiment on it.  It is also for Crafty Card Makers-Challenge 4-3d Elements.  The pointseta on the card is cut from decorative paper. I cut it apart and reassembled it with foam squares.

Have a great afternoon ;0)

Cupcake & Caardvardks together

Here I have combined two challenges.  The sketch is for Caardvarks Sketchfest.  This is Tuesdays sketch.  And the second is Cupcake Challenge 58 Distressing Techniques.  I have distressed the edges of the paper.

I had decided to distress the edges because the blade in my cutter needs changing and it cuts a little rough.  But it turned out pretty good I think.

Happy crafting ;0)

Cuttlebug Be Inspired #49

I have finally finished my album.  I had a hard time with this, not to good at creating an album, so it's not too decorated.  But my daughter is giving it to her BF, whose birthday is near Halloween, so she can put pictures in it.

Here is the front of the album.  It is a 4x4.  I took cut a paper 4x12 of two different papers, and glued them back to back.  Then scored them at 4 inches and 8 inches.

Here is what both sides of the album look like.  This was a HUGE challenge for me.  But it turned out not bad.

Happy crafting  ;0)

A bit of quiet time

After taking two days off at the end of last week, it's been hard to get back into the swing of things.  I feel like I'm way behind in my challenges.  Last night I started my album for Cuttlebug Challenges which has to been done by tonight.  The first episode of CSI Miami was on, and that took my attention away from my album.

This card is done using downloads from crafty computer paper.  I really the tree paper used here.  There are so many nice christmas papers coming out this year.

Have a great day  I'll be back tonight with my album  ;0)

Caardvarks Sketch Fest Monday

Another busy day.  I'm getting back to card making.  Falling into the routine again.  Kids to school, hubbie to work, me to work, home to get kids from bus, supper, bed, craft time for me.  And we haven't started with all the activities yet.  Only violin has started.

On to my card for today.  I have managed to do two cards for Caardvarks Sketch Fest.  Today I combined the Monday sketch from caardvarks and Day 205-Color Scheme from 365 Cards.  Pams color scheme was orange, brick red, red, yellow, brown, and torquoise.  I had to take a break from Christmas cards, and did an autumn with the color scheme.

Here is what I came up with.  Enjoy.

Have a great evening ;0)

Cupcake Challenge 57

I'm back after a few days off.  I'm going through withdrawl.  I haven't made a card since Wed. night.

The camping trip was a lot of fun.  The camp was beautiful.  All the kids had a great time.  Alot hadn't been camping or slept in a tent.  They learned first aid, compose orientation, a nature treasure hunt and how to make baniac over the open fire.  They also had to cook their dinner on a fire.  Hamburger patty and potatoes wrapped in foil.  (How appatizing)

Onto my card.  It is for Cupcake Craft Challenges #57.  It was to have Pearls and Swirls.

Have a great weekend ;0)

Card Patterns-Sketch 32

I managed one card last night.  My crafting time is cut down considerabley this week.  I have to get ready to go camping.  My daughters grade 5 class is going camping for one night this week, and I'm going along to help out.  So I have DH pulling out all the camping stuff.  (The tent is set up downstairs to air out)  I have a page of stuff I have to collect up to take.  Hubby jokes that he and the little guy won't be able to do anything at home because I'll have everything with me.  It should be fun.

Onto the card.  This one is for Card Patterns Sketch 33.  I used the cuttlebug village folder and used glitter on the rooftops.  I gold embossed the bells and Peace down the sides.  Hope you like.
Have a great day ;0)

Two challenges one card

I hope everyone is having a good weekend, although it's almost over.  I managed to do two cards today.  I liked the layout and the colors so I just changed the picture on one.

I combined two challenges today.  This is my first time doing a challenge at Crafty Card Makers.  This is Challenge #3.  It is a sketch.
At Cute Card Thursday Challenge 77-Strawberry Mint Julep!  It was a color challenge to use the colors pink and green.  I think these are my favorite colors together.  Here are my cards.

Sam was busy yesterday while I was at work.  She had me trace out butterflies for her befor I left.  She cut them out and did the rest on her card.  I have made up some stickle dots ahead for those times you just don't have time to wait for them to dry.  She thought they were great.   Here is her creation.
Have a great evening :)

Halloween Party

Just a quick post before rushing off to work.  I have a late night tonight.  Hubby was at a football game last night, so I was able to finish two cards.  This morning I quickly put together a gift bag to match one.

First I have a card that I have pondered over all week.  365 Cards Day 190-Super Sketchy Sunday.  Every time I look at this sketch all I see is a hat.  So I combined it with Cuttlebug Challenge-Be Inspired #48-Card and Gift Bag.  Last week you had to pick a theme for a party and make an invitation, this week using the same theme make a card and gift bag.  My theme Halloween, which worked well for the sketch.  Hope you like it.

My next one today is 365 Cards-Day 193-Card Recipe.  The card had to be 5x5, have 4 different pattern paper, 3blossems, 1 stamped image, 5 rhinestones, and the sentiment was up to me.  Here is what I came up with.
Everyone have a great weekend ;0)

No new challenges today

Last night was a lazy night.  This getting up a 6:30 to be ready, and get kids up for school.  It's tiring me out.  (If I didn't stay up carding late at night.)  So DH was out last night and I spent a quiet night watching TV and looking through card magazines for some ideas.  Ready to do some work tonight.
I've had this card for awhile.  I downloaded Daisy and Dandelion from docrafts.  Aren't they the cutest.  They are a 3-D image, and I just stamped corners on.
Have a great day  ;0)

I made some progress last night.  I was able to complete three cards.  I have a long post today so please scroll through.

This card is for Card Patterns sketch #31.  Thanks to card patterns, I won the random draw from Cutting Cafe.  I had a chance last night to play with them a bit.  I used one image on a card down farther in post.
This sketch is for  Caardvarks and Cupcake Crafts  challenge #56 was to do a card red white and blue.
And  lastly is a sketch from caardvarks and for  365 Cards Day 192-So "Sweet".  The word sweet had to be on the card.
Must run to work now or I will be late.

Scrap n Stamp Challenge

All done work for the day, and I have time for a quick post and a browse of some blogs before the kids are home from school.  I finished this card last night, it is for Scrap n Stamp September Challenge #1.  I used the new tulips from spellbinders to emboss.  I looks quite nice but a couldn't get a real deep emboss, I'll have to play with it some more.  My tulip is a stamp.  I cut out one tulip and with a second one cut it in three pieces of the flower and reassembled on top of the first with foam squares.

Have a great day :)

First day of School

Just a quick post this morning.  I have no cards for a challenge today.  One partly done laying on the table waiting to be glued.  Yesterday was spent collecting up all the back to school supplies that managed to find their way out of the new backpacks and scatter all over the house.  Then it was a trip to Walmart to buy the last minute things that were forgotten, and a new outfit for the first day.  (My kids have so many clothes, we don't do a big shop for back to school.)  This morning I have sent them off on the bus, both very excited to be going back, hubbie is off to work and mom gets a few minutes of quiet time to herself before I'm off to work.
My card today is one that I saw on docrafts.  I liked the shape of the card.  The images on it are printed from crafty computer paper.  This might be one of my favorite Christmas cards from this year.
Have a great day :)

Halloween Birthday Party

Today is Sunday, one more day of the long weekend and it is back to school.  Back to a routine.  Tomorrow will be spent organizing school clothes and backpacks to make sure we have everything.  I always leave things till the last minute.
Any way my card is for Cuttlebug Challenge.  This month they are celebrating their first birthday.  Happy Birthday everyone.  This weeks Be Inspired #47-Birthday Invitation.  You had to decide on a theme for the party and create an invitation using any embossing floder.  I don't have any stamps I could use as a theme, but I did find these halloween stickers.  My daughter has a friend with a birthday at halloween and her parties are usually geered around the halloween theme.  So here is my invitation.

Hope you enjoy.
Have a great day  :0)

365 Cards-Charming

Here I am again today.  I managed to get a quick card done in time to post today.  The last one of the week.  At 365 Cards Day 189-Charming.  All you had to do was add a charm.  I had to rumage for this charm.  I had it and another Christmas one.  My daughter had some but I've been instructed not to use them.  So here's another Christmas card ready for the sale.     Have a great evening  :)

Cupcake Crafts challenge #55

This card is for Cupcake Crafts challenge #55-A Recipe.  This weeks card was to have 3 buttons, 2 papers, 1 ribbon on it.  Here is my card. Hope you enjoy it.  Everyones cards at cupcake are great, I like your work girls.  Keep crafting.  Have a great weekend  :0)

Last of Summer

Here it is the last long weekend of the summer.  I can't believe it's over already.  Kids are back to school on Tuesday.  It's been a busy week, not much card making going on here.  Last night I managed to complete a couple of cards.  This one is  for 365 Cards Day 188_Touchy, Feely Friday.  You were to use felt or flocking on your card.  The turtle on my card is flocking.  I made this one for my sister in law whose birthday was the start of the week.  I made an extra one too, just to have it on hand.  You will have to scroll down and have a look at Sam's cards.  She likes to draw, so alot on her cards is hand drawn with her pencil crayons.  She was so proud the other day, while I was at work all day, she made three cards all by herself.

Have a great weekend ;)
