Good morning blog peeps. Wow, look at that, I'm posting two days in row. Right now I'm just enjoying the quiet after 4 days with the family home. Today was back to school and work. It's almost time for me to get ready to back tool.
I have noticed I have a few cards that I've made and have not shared. It has been a bad year for loosing loved ones at hubbies office, he has used up my sympathy stash. But there is always a silver lining. There is another baby boom at his office. So once again I'm knitting.
As I sit here posting I'm noticing the big mess I'm leaving on my counter. I have spent the last couple days switching all my stamps from binders to Crafter's Companion EZBinders. I have one more binder to go, then I have to unmount some of my rubber stamps. Too many of them in one binder makes it hard to close. I have found that if you peel the foam off the backs, clean all the sticky off, and brush on Aleene's Tack-It Over & Over, that the rubber stamp clings nicely to your page and blocks. Thus not taking up so much room in your binder. I have less storage space so I'm really trying to come up with betterr storage ideas that take up less space.
Back to my card. This is one of my favorite stamps. It reminds me of wheat feilds blowing in a breeze under the hot summer sun. It also reminds me of my great uncle Bill. He was a farm hand on a cow farm many years ago. I can remember as a child going to visit him. He lived in a little add on room to the wood shed. Years later as he aged they built him a nice little house. Miss you uncle Bill.
I heat embossed the stamp with white embossing powder onto a piece of patterned card stock. I just noticed that I took the pic bsefore adding 3 brass colored gems on the sentiment strip before the with. Hope you enjoy your day.
happy crafting
dee ;o)
