Happy Birthday Princess

My challenges are at the end, feel free to scroll down if you want to bypass the chit chat.
Good evening everyone.  I tried to post this morning, but was having problems with the computer staying online.  So I'm trying again.  This is what we woke up to Wednesday morning.  Almost all the snow was gone in the yard.  April 20 and the kids had a snow day, buses were cancelled.  Unfortunately I had to work, so they were dropped off for a fun day.  About 90% of the kids are bused, so on snow days there aren't many that show up.
Thursday was my little princesses birthday.  She turned 12.  How times flies, only seems like yesterday we were the nervous parents bring home our first little bundle.  I had to make this special for her, after she told me what had to go on it.  The day before her birthday I received in the mail my order from Scrapbook Steals.  Scratch and snip stickers.  How cool is that?  Well, she told me I had to make her card with a cupcake sticker on it. I stamped the cupcakes on, then inked with distress inks.  Colored the cupcake bottoms with sakura pens, and glitter to the cherries on top.  The big cupcake in the middle is the scratch and sniff sticker, that smells like cake batter.

CHALLENGES ARE HERE:

While I'm on here I'm going to post my easter card before I miss another challenge that it was geared to.

Afternoon everyone.  Started out my morning with no power.  It at least waited till I got the kids off to school.  Walking back from the bus stop I could hear the neighbors generator running.  Making a card this morning was challenging.  My stuff is all in the basement, so I had to carry what I wanted upstairs to the diningroom table which is right in front of the window.  Had to go to my dads for a shower.

On to card stuff.  I combined two stamps for this one.  I love this little girl, she reminds me of the swing at my grammas in the big tree.

Challenges:
Little Red Wagon-#76-Easter
Creative Accents-April Challenge-Colors
Here are the colors.

Glad the power came back on so I could post this.  We are so dependant on power.

Just Chillin

Happy Monday everyone.  I had to take the day off to stay home with my little guy.  He says he has a stomach ache, buy if you chould see what he's ate today, I say there's nothing wrong.  He's outside riding his bike right now.  But it has given me time to just sit and create this morning.

I find masculine cards hard to make.  Thanks to my newest issue of CardMakers, and their article on masculine cards I came up with this card.
It was created for CCM Spotlight-Cards for Teenage Boys(Tweens)

Afternoon everyone.  Hope you have better weather in your part of the world.  Cloudy, rainy, and cold.  Chance of wet snow tomorrow.  What is this?  Spring was here this week.
I so liked the background technique I used the other day, that I made this set of six cards.  They are all one dimenion.  Keep it simple.
I made a masked frame so that the word stamp would only go in the middle.  After stamping that I inked them up with distress inks.  I then stamped the flower on top of everything.  Then came the fun part.  Splattering with water to make the water marks.  I added jewel with my i-rock.  I think I have the hang of it now.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Sunshiney Day

This card matches the kind of day we had today.  Bright sunshine, warm weather.  I saw this background technique on stamping inspired by. I started with watercolor paper and inked with distress inks, mustardseed, scattered straw, and brushed corduroy.  I then splattered water on it.  Cool ah. I colored the flower with pencil crayons, and added gems with my handy i-rock, and a little bow that was just hangin around the work area.

Challenges for this card.

Happy Birthday Baby Boy

My baby boy is 10 today, my how time flies.  Last night I made this card for him.  He had a sleep over for his birthday and the boys were sleeping in the living room, so i no where else to go but  my craft space.
I found hand made paper at the dollar store.  I started by cutting to the shape I wanted and then just wet the edges and pulled the paper away to fray it a bit.  The stamped image I stamped three times and cut and layed it.  The simble has gold glitter on it.
Here is the side view.I managed to cover a couple of challenges with this card.

The Best Years

Evening everyone.  Here it is almost time to tuck the little ones in.  Work is complete, supper made and devoured, dishes done, bathroom cleaned, a load of laundry washed dried folded and actually put away.  Wow tiring day, now it's me time.  Search a few blogs and maybe have some time to whip up a card.

This one I did last night.  This is one of my fav stamps.  I stamped it with gold ink, to match the gold paper used to mat the stamped image.  I used a flower pattern impressions to emboss with coordinations white wash, and sand the image so the green showed through.  Added a couple stickers, ribbon, and voila.
