Thinking of You

Evening everyone.  Hope you all had a great new years.  Ours was quiet.  We enjoy it with the kids. Dinner while watching a movie. This years feature was 'Pearcy Jackson the Lightning Theif'. The kids tried to make it till midnight but we chased them of to bed about 11:30 so mom and dad could spend time in the hot tub alone.
 
Yesterday was a lazy day, and one to play.  While DH was on his Star Wars game again, I managed to pry the laptop out of my daughters hands long enough to play with my new silhouette.  I did manage to complete one card.  I found the background in my stash, it goes perfect with the flowers. A few holes poked around the edge and inked. And voila.

My new cameo

Today was a day to play. No work, the store was closed. I started out playing with my cameo. Learning how it works. Then checking out the on-line store. OMG, so many choices. I went over my $10 that came with the machine and had to get out my credit card. So here is a card I made. And the rose beside the card. I`m going to enjoy this. That was the morning. The afternoon was spent doing my nails. Santa brought me the new Nailene UV lamp.  I`m sure the more you do it the faster you get. Nails gey pretty great.

Christmas Cheer

Afternoon everyone. Hope Santa has been good to you all. We are having a glorious family day. Presents are all unrapped, turkey is in, and toys are being played with. I have the best husband.  My gift, a silhouette cameo. Just setting it up now.

Merry Christmas

Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas. May you have a day filled with joy and happiness. Hope Santa brings what you have wished for. Here is a little treat I`d like to share with you. One of the ladies at hubbies office made these cute little guys for all the kids. Pretzel rods, gum drops, licorice and frosting. Kids loved them.

Happy Birthday Hubbie

I've taken a brake from Christmas cards to make DH a birthday card.  Tomorrow he will be the big 5 0.  So I had to make a special card for him.  He gave himself a gift of the new Star Wars computer game.  He has been playing it since Wednesday, when he was able to start.  It is being released on the 20th but he preordered and was a tester for the game a few times, so was able to get a jump on it.

While he was playing tonight I was right behind him making his card.  Not that he noticed.

More to Donate

Evening everyone.  Finally at home relaxing.  Dinner is done, and it's time to sit with a coffe, I think a little shot is Baileys in it is in order.  Cleaning job this morning before I headed off to the real job.  It's starting to get a little hectic at the grocery store these days.  With everyone stocking up for the holidays.  I can't believe we only have a week left.  Haven't even gotten my baking done.  The goal for tomorrow is to make our ginger cookies.  The kids like to help cut out the different shapes. 

Yesterday morning, before I had to head off to work.  I made six more cards to be donated.  I couldn't send them in to Grants class when there wasn't enough every child in the class.  I didn't want anyone being left out.

From the Heart

Evening everyone.  It's been awhile.  I got carded out.  Lost my mojo, and had to take a brake.  But the start of the year I will start again.  Next year I'm starting early, maybe one Christmas card a week.  I will also set a goal to up the number of cards to be donated.  I only managed to get 19 done for this year.  It's a start and I will work towards more next year.  My sons class will be signing them.  I wantd to get the kids involved.  Here is a pic of all my donation cards.

Card Lift

Evening everyone.  The weekend is here. Although I work the whole thing.  DH was invited to Beta test the new Star Wars game again. So he's stuck in front of the computer all weekend.  This is the third weekend.  Though he will take a break tomorrow to put up the Christmas lights before we get more snow. 

I just love this card.  Another simple one.  I lifted this from Penny Black.  I've made so many Christmas cards I needed a little help.  I looks so elegant. When I made them up I did six for a set.
