In the Mail

I love it when you get packages in the mail.  I ordered these stamps from Flourishes last week.  Yesterday they arrived in the mail.  Today I was off to help with Track & Feild at the school, but it was cancelled due to rain.  Although today turned out to be a great day for it, no rain and no sun.  So I was able to try out my new stamps this morning. 

This is what I came up with.  I just love the rubber boots.  Both the umbrellas and boots were stamped on yellow paper and cut out.

Rain Rain Go Away

I had origanally booked today off to go on a school trip with my son.  It was a Medieval Festival held at a fair grounds.  We have had alot of rain lately and they were calling for thunder storms today, so it was cancelled.  So I decided to leave with them this morning, and after getting kids on the bus I headed in to do one of my cleaning jobs.  It is at a framing store in town.  Well everyone is into The Royals, with the big wedding last month, and Jim is no different.  Here is his new window display.

Kids Fencing

Just wanted to share with you what the kids have been doning for the past six weeks.  They have been learning fencing, and having a great time at it.  This week and next they get to see what it's like to be in tournament.  They are trying electric fencing.

Hump Day

Here we are hump day, the middle of the week.  And oh what a busy one I've had.  Work, drop Sam off violin, run errons, pick up Sam, drop her off at home, pick up dog to take to vets (yearly checkup), home, supper.  I'm done in.  Tonight is a TV night and little light reading.  Tomorrow day off my real job, with a little cleaning job to do. 

This first card I card lifted from Card Maker Magazine.  I had seen one in there that real popped at me.  I even had the same paper that I had intended to use.  But when going through my paper stash came across the pink that I liked better.  So here is my version of the card.  I didn't intend to use this card for a challenge when I started but Phindy's Place asked this week to use one image and make two cards, so I decided to use it.

Here is my card that I made last night.  While checking all the challenge sights, I was able to make it for five.  I think that's the most I've done.

Spring Flowers

Afternoon everyone.  I have not cards to show today, but would like to share some spring with you.  I have the day off and am enjoying the day home alone.  A little bit of house work, computer time, laundry, computer time.  On the weekend I took these pics of my flower garden.  I'm not the best gardener (hubby is much better), and it doesn't help that we are on top of a gravel pit.  Things don't tend to grow in it.  And no matter how much topsoil you add, it always disappears, and the rocks and gravel appear.  Most of our flowers and done in pots, that will be the job this long weekend.  Anyway enjoy the flowers on this dull rainy day.

True Love

Good Sunday morning everyone.  A quick post before I'm off to work.  Hope I'm not too late for this one.  It's my first time playing at Mojo Monday. 

This stamp is one of my favs. I love the old couple.  I've colored it with my fav technique watercolor pencils.  I added a ruffle around the image with tissue paper, and  a few flowers.

U are, my missing PIECE

Evening everyone. What a glorious day, even though it rained all afternoon.  It was so nice to have a Saturday off with no plans.  Just to be at home with my family on the same day.  It also gave me a chance to make a couple cards, which I haven't been having much time to do lately.  So this morning with my morning tea I managed to make up this card.

RECIPE
I haven't been using my cuttlebug lately, so thought it time to dig it out.  The backgroung is embossed with a flower pattern.  I have had the puzzle die cut for awhile and these pieces have actually been cut and sitting on my desk for months, just waiting for the right project.  Very simple and quick card.

Usually I don't do too much if anything on the inside, but I had to show this one.

My blog is working again!!!

Finally "I'm following" is working again on my dashboard.  So much easier to see what everyone is up to.  I sat down this morning all excited with my cup of tea ready to peek in on everyones hard work, when the phone rang.  (Never answer the phone on your day off).  A mad rush to be ready and into work in an hour.  I did it.  Now I'm back with a quick post, while making dinner,  to show you what I accomplished last night.

The gingham paper is actually home made.  I stamped with yellow distress ink one way, then with orange the other.  This is the first time I've used this stamp, and I rather like it.  Made some little rose buds with two sided paper of orange and yellow.

Help find a tutorial

I help from my blogging friends.  Awhile back I saw a video tutorial on how to make flowers with a punch.  She was putting them on a headband.  You punched out several flowers and started by using one as the base, then folding the rest and glueing on the first.  Well as always I didn't make a note of were I saw this, and when the time came and I tried making them, they didn't turn out so well.  Now I can't find the video.  If anyone out there nows how to make these, please let me know.

Happy Mother's Day to everyone.  Hope your enjoying your day.  I worked this morning, so glad to be home, things didn't go well.  I still have no followers on my dash board, getting a little peeved. 

I managed to make one card this week.  I picked this cute flower stamp up last week, and had fun coloring it with watercolor pencils.  Adding some pearls to the centre of the flowers.  This was done for 365 Cards-Day 62-Super Sketchy Sunday.

Happy Elephant

Evening everyone.  I haven't managed to accomplish much this week to post.  After ignoring blogging for a couple days, I come back to find on my dashboard I'm not following anyone.  I was all prepared to peek at what everyone was up to all week, and not a single post will show, although my list is still on my main page, and I did notice that someone else was having the same problem.  Hope they fix this problem soon.

Any way, I clean at a framing store once a week.  They are having a framing extravigansa.  When I was dusting last week I found this cute little frame and just hads to have it.  So the cleaning fairy left her money and a note on the counter.  This is what I came up with to go inside.  DH was not impressed, his comment was something like "not only cards, now you're going to hang it on the wall"  I told him it was going right by his computer area.  Teach him.  I think it turned out very well.

If I don't make it back over the weekend.  I hope everyone has a great Mother's Day.  My you be pampered the whole day.

End of the Weekend

Evening everyone.  I know it's been a while since I've last posted.  Last week I was doing the single parent thing.  DH was away all week.  I give all you single mom's out there a big cheer, I don't know how you do it.  By the time I got kids into bed I was exausted, so no crafting got done.  So Friday night when DH was home it was a big rush to get some cards finished for the craft sale on Saturday.  I did it. 

Here is our table at the sale.  My cards, christmas ornaments, and in front of tree DD had her beaded bracelets. We sold a bit, got an order and alot of interested people.  It was a good day, just me and my little princess.
