60 Years Strong

Wow what a scorcher again today.  The second day of 30 degrees, with high.  They are calling for showers tomorrow which will cool things down a bit.
Update on the dog.  She had a check up today.  Things are still healing.  It takes so long.  We continue on the steroids, and have a topical cream on order.  I'm hoping the cream is going to speed up the healing now that the hole is not as deep.  As for her cone of shame, it's still on.  Although we can remove it when she's within eye sight so we can keep an eye on her.
Sixty years of marriage.  Can you imagine.  I don't think we'll see that very much in my generation.  Divorce seems to be the norm right now.  I can't believe how many of the kids classmates are in a split family.  Me, I can't image life without my hubbie.  He is my best friend.
My card tonight is for a request for a 60 Anniversary.  Diamond is the color, so I tried to make the card sparkle.  Starting with an outline sticker, I filled in the birds with glossy accents, and sprinkled glitter on it.  The flowers were colored with sakura pen to match the matting.

pretty card

It is sad that the divorce rate is so high now days, when I was growing up it was almost unheard of.
