mini album cars

Hello everyone.  Hope you are having a wonderful weekend.  The weather is sooo nice here.  Lots of sun.  I was home with the kids today while DH was away at a model show judging.  We got up this morning and went into the Farmers Market.  And hit a few yard sales.  It was a great morning.

I finally finished Randy's little mini album of all his RC Cars.  He has a race tomorrow.  Hope for good weather because its held in a parking lot.  The album is made from name tag pockets.  It's nice and small for him to toss it in his tool box and carry it with him.

Here is the rest of the album before I put it together.

Oh the heat

In the winter we complain about the cold, and then when it warms up we complain about the heat.  It has been fabulous.  Someone told me today that our temps here in Muskoka was the same as Hawaii.  We just need the grass skirts, a beach and some cute little drinks.

This card has taken me months to do.  I think they look so pretty.  But all the cutting on them is murder on my hand.  So I usually have to take a brake from it half way through.

Hoping to get at least one card done this week.  But it's a busy week.  Yesterday I was at the Royal Ontario Museum with my daughters class and then had to work last night.  Friday is the kids Track and Field Day.  I always go to help out.  It's the little guys first time.  And work just seems to get in the way.

Wish

Finally all done work for today.  Saturday of the long weekend.  I can kick back and drink beer now.  For one day anyway, back to work Monday.  It really wasn't as busy today as I thought it would be.  Alot of tourists up to the cottage.  But not crazy busy like it used to get.

Last night I completed this card for Page Maps.  It's for the American Crafts Letter Box Contest.  The theme had to be spring.

I started with stamping the circle pattern on the green with green calk ink.  The pink squares are watercolor paper and I took the Distress Ink pad and rubbed it on to cover the paper in ink completely.  I then stamped the tulip flower in a red ink.  I love this stamp by Hero Arts.

Well I'm off now to make supper.  (A trip into town to buy subs)  Dishes and then my chores are done for the day.  Happy weekend to all.

First long weekend

Afternoon everyone.  This week I've been working on Project 12.  I've already gotten my May done.  Last night I whipped up this card for Card Patterns Sketch 64.  I just love this stamp from Hero Arts, it's so springy, with the bird and flowers.  And I found the flowered paper in my scrap bin.

Everyone enjoy your weekend, I at least get Sunday off.

Enjoy the Day

Morning everyone.  I have accomplished quit a bit this week.  Here is  card I did yesterday.  I love this stamp, it is the sweetest.  I now have my own background stamp, so I can make as many backgrounds as I want.  I love this background by Hero Arts.  After stamp embossing you can color it with Distress Inks any color to match your project.
This card is for Little Red Wagon #28-Brads.  I used an old sketch from Card Patterns-sketch 47.

Have a great day

Just a random card

Good morning everyone.  The last two days have been nice.  I've worked in the afternoon so have had to time to do some much needed house work on the computer.  Today I'm off all day. Sweeeet.  While I was checking out Tim Holtz blog yesterday I discovered podcasts.  At Paperclipping they have a roundtable discussion with various guests.  You can download them from itunes.  What I find, so you know what I listened to yesterday afternoon.
I managed to make this card too.  I bought this cute stamp last week, and just wanted to use it.  I stamped it out three times.  Then started cutting it apart layering with foam squares.  Adding some addition stamped flowers and a bit of embossing with the cuttlebug.
Everyone enjoy your day.

Well here I am with the fourth Project 12 layout.  April was full off birthdays and Easter.  So the kids had their fill of candy and cake. Having two birthday cakes each (one for their party and one the day of birthday with the family).
Project 12 is sponsored by Scrapbook and Cards Today Magazine.  Pop on over there and have a look see.

Here is the sketch for April.

Happily Ever After

Hello everyone.  It's been a while since I've been able to post.  But over the last couple of nights I managed to put this card together.  Isn't this stamp the cutest.
Using Distress Ink, I inked the background using a Spellbinders template.  The flowers down the side are inked on using the backing from some sticky ribbon I used on a layout as a template.  The pink strip was stamped using a words background and then I punched the border.  The flower is just three different sizes cut from a cuttlebug die and put together with a brad.

This card was done for:
Little Red Wagon- (Missed the deadline)-Pink & Green
Card Patterns- Sketch 63
Here is the sketch.
