gramma's album

Happy Friday everyone.  I'm finding it harder and harder to find the time to make cards.  Although my stash is pretty big.  There are so many pictures I would like to scrapbook, and don't have the time for that.
On Wednesday we are having the intermant for gramma.  Everyone is coming back to our house after for coffee and snacks.  We live beside the cemetary, so no one has to drive anywhere.  I have been working on an album of gramma since she passed and wanted to have it done for everyone to see.  Last night I got it finished.  It is 5 1/2 x 7 1/2, and fits into a nice tin.  I still have to decorate the tin, but that doesn't have to be done now.
Here's a peek at the pages.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Card Patterns

Afternoon everyone.  I've been having an enjoyable day at home alone.  This morning I took some time to make a card for Card Patterns-Sketch 60.  Using more stamped paper (thanks again Tracey) I must get some of my own background stamps to make more of this stamped paper, I love it, and I'm running out of what we made at the scrap weekend.   Had coffee with my dad, a little house work done, and got dinner in the oven.  It's DD birthday today.  We have to sqeeze in birthday dinner and strawberry shortcake between violin and badminton.
Have a great afternoon.

Happy Friday

Afternoon everyone.  What a busy morning.  Collecting cardboard boxes for the school.  Now they have to be cut into strips to cover the shelves at the coat racks.  All the memeory pictures will be set on top.

The stamped piece was one that was done at our scrap weekend.  Tracey had them stamped and ebossed in white, and she demonstrated how to use distress inks to color it.  I made this card for Card Patterns-Sketch 59.
Here is the sketch.

PageMaps

Evening everyone.  I've had a busy day, and just taking a wee minute to post another of the pages I completed on the weekend.
This morning I spent most of it in my sons class.  At recess time I moved to the kindergarten room to help out with their memory pages.  In a week and half our school is celebrating its 50th anniversary.  All the students are making a page of their most memorable moment at the school.  Then they will be put up on the wall the day of the celebration.  After lunch my sons class had their last swimming class, so it was off to the pool.  After school my daughter had violin, then home for supper and off to badminton with the little guy.  Tomorrow swimming starts, so the next nine weeks are busy.  The weekend is my daughters sleepover for her birthday.  Maybe Sunday I'll have time to relax.

Back to my page.  This was done for Page Maps.  This is our lovely dog Fenn.  She is the watch dog for the family.  Our great protector.  The little dog prints were quit a chore to do.  They are a tiny punch, that was very hard the thumbs to punch, and each toe is separate.  But look good when finished.

Here is the sketch.

Project 12 March

Wow, what a weekend.   27 hours of scrapbooking.  Sooo much fun.  There were 36 ladies sharing stories, supplies and techniques.  It was a wonderful weekend put on by the terrific ladies at the Craft Nook, Lillian and Linda.  A local crafter Tracey Kuzniak sharing her techniques with stamping, embossing, and distress inks.  Great class Tracey.  I managed to finish my March page for Project 12 from Scrapbook and Cards Today, along with a challenge page from the  weekend, and a start on a little album for DH on his RC Cars, which I will show off when finished.

Here is the March sketch.

happy Easter

Well everything went smoothly for the little guys first sleepover.  Last night we had two extra boys.  You wouldn't believe how long three boys will play outside with nerf guns.  We bought them each one and then they took it home with them.
Aside from the tiny fire in the pine tree at the end of the driveway.  The day went great till bed time.  When I thought they were settling down at 10:30 the Hydro truck showed up to trim the branches from the lines.
Here are the carrots I've made to take with us tomorrow for Easter dinner.  I found the pattern on Cutttlebug Challenges. They are filled with chocolate eggs.  MMMMM

Happy Easter

You're getting hitched

Evening everyone.  My day is almost done.  Tomorrow is a big day.  The little guy is having his first sleepover birthday party.  Tomorrow he and two friends will be driving me crazy.  At least we are to have nice weather, and they can play outside.
This is the last wedding card I've made this week.  I saw one like this in a magazine, I think it was Stamp It Magazine.

Happy Easter to everyone
