Hope you're feeling better soon

Morning everyone.  Wow I have another card done this week.  I found some pretty spring stickers at the Craft Nook the other day, and wanted to make a spring card for Crafty Card Makers.  I started out with the paper from Imaginisce-Build a Card Pad, and the saying to match up the tulips.  This nice spring tulip is stuck on white cardstock and mounted with foam squares to the card.  I then added some string and  buttons.  When I was all done, and check some card sites.  I noticed that it was pretty close to the Sunday sketch at 365 Cards.
So my card is for two Challenges:
Crafty Card Makers-Challenge 17-Spring into Spring
Your interpretation of spring be that flowers, bunnies, colors, chocolate, easter whatever spring evokes for you.
365 Cards-Day 28-Super Sketchy Sunday

Here is the sketch.

Happy Monday

Morning everyone.  Just a quick post before I'm off to work.  Here is another wedding card.  I saw one like this on a sight a while ago, but can't remember were it was.  I thought that is so simple and elegant.  So thank you to whoever it was that came up with this idea, it's great.
It's an overcast day here, rain in the forcast.  Good news about that is it will take away the nasty snow.
This week I'm busy planning the little guys birthday party.  I figured they are off school on Friday, and most people don't go away for Easter till Sunday.  So he wanted to try a sleep over.  He's invited two boys.  They are both bring their bikes so I'm hoping for nice weather so they can be outside most of the day.

Have a great day.

wishing you love and laughter

Morning everyone.  I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend.  Today the sun is shinning looks beautiful, its even getting warmer this morning.  This last week has been a cold one, with below 0 temps.
Friday night we were over at the neighbors for an enjoyable evening.  There were four couples in all.  Our kids were the only ones there, because everyones kids are all older.  It was alot of fun, we need to do that more often.  Although our house is small and we don't have room for 8 people to sit in the same room.  We'll have to wait till its warmer and have a patio party out at the hot tub.
Today I'm home with the kids.  DH is away at a RC car race.  He left at 5:30am this morning.  Hope he has his cars working better than the last time.  Good luck to him.
Last week I was asked  for a wedding and shower card.  Thats what I've been working on this week.  I don't really have a good selection.  I thought my new feather stamp would go well with the hummingbird.  The one flower is cut out and put on with a foam square, and the hummingbirds wings have a foam square behind them so they stick out like it's flying.

Have a wonderful end to the weekend

Add on:
I was doing some checking of card pages, and discovered that this card could qualifies for Cute Card Thursday-Challenge 105-Dimensions.  To make an altered object, easel card, tent cards or maybe just a card that has lots of layers.

Happy Monday

Happy Monday everyone.  The holiday is over, I actually had to go back to work yesterday.  The kids are back at school today.  I didn't get as many cards done over the week as I had hoped, instead I opted for some time with the kids.  One aftrnoon we swimming.  One afternoon the kids tried the rock wall for the first time.  They did pretty well for their first time.  The little guy made it up half way, and my DD made it up about three quarters of the way.  Every day we took the dog for a walk, which we haven't done much all winter.  DD and I went to see Alice in Wonderland, while DH took the little guy with their rock crawlers.  All in all we had a great week together.  Now its back to work, and fill some card orders.

Project 12 February

Morning everyone.  No card to show you today.  Yesterday I spent reorganizing my stamp binders.  I was running out of room on some pages, and stamps were being put on pages they don't belong.  Still working on it today.
This is my second month for Project 12.  And I have ideas for March.  Can you believe it.
You can check out Project 12 at Scrapbook and Cards Today.  Each month a challenge sketch is posted by Becky Fleck.  It's a fun way to scrap a whole year.

Happy Tuesday

Morning ladies.  I'm a day late posting my card.  I was going to try to post a card a day over the March Break.  I left it too late last night.  DH beat me to the computer after the kids where put to bed.  He had a gaming night.  So I have two cards for today.
Both have matching envelopes.  What a time I've had making envelopes.  When I did the easter one I discovered that there was an error in the measurements on the instructions I was following.  The flaps are too short too seal.  The birthday card is the only one I don't have to alter.
This card covers two challenges:
365 Cards-Day 14-Super Sketchy Sunday
Crafty Card Makers-Challenge 16-A Feminine Celebration

Here is the sketch.

Happy Birthday.  This card may come in handy next month.  Both of my kids have a birthday.
This one is for two challenges as well.
Cute Card Thursday-Challenge 103-Celebration
Cuttlebug Challenges-Be Inspired #74-Envelopes
You were to make a matching envelope to go with your card.  The inside of my envelope also has the same paper as the card.

My son has a friend over today.  The boys are enjoying the nice weather outside today.  We've had great weather lately.

Card Set

Evening everyone.  Today was my first day of my holidays.  March Break has officially started.
Wednesday I was at school to see Sam in the semi finals of Battle of the Books.  First three classes did a musical presention.  Sams class did a song on the xylophones and drums.  It was quit good.  In her battle though they lost 6-4.  They gave it their best try.  They are more experienced for next year.  Grant is looking forward to being in it next year.
I made a card like this a couple weeks ago and liked it so much I decided to make a gift set.  I made the box with a peek hole to see the cards.  Four card with matching envelopes.  I had a problem with the envelopes.  I didn't have my measurements right and the flap was too short to overlap, and you wouldn't be able to seal it.  Noticed when I cut the first one out, forgot for the second, then changed the measurement on one  sketch.  But when I was following the sketch on how to cut it out of the 12x12 sheet I'd forgotten to change that measurement.  So now I have three envelopes wrong, and decided I only have one left so no use replacements and cut out the fourth.  Then I just added a small strip so the flap had something to seal to.  Not bad for a first attempt.

Sweet treats

The last couple of weeks here have been heaven.  Beautiful sunshine, the snow is melting.  And today is a gray day, expecting rain.  Wow does that ever effect your mood.  But onto sweeter things.  I love this little house mouse.  They are just the cutest.
This card was done for Card Patterns-Sketch 54.  What a great sketch.

oops i forgot

What a beautiful day we had again today.  Last week was sunny and they are calling for sunshine this week as well.  I'm just hoping it will last through next week too.  The kids are off for March Break and I have the week off too.

Last night I whipped up this card real quick, after realizing that I'd forgotten my brother inlaws birthday last week.  I didn't feel like turning the computer on, so I pulled out the old manual typewriter.

Happy Anniversary Card Patterns

Congrats Card Patterns on one year.  I enjoy your weekly sketches.  It gives me a great place to start when making a card.  Easter is on its way.  I've colored this little cutie from SU with watercolor pencils.  The little flowers are stamped in turquoise ink and clear embossed.
This card was made for Card Patterns-Challenge 53.
Here is the sketch.

I want to congratulate my daughter.  This week at school they started the battles for Battle of the Books.  She has done her two battles this week winning 9-3, and 8-3.  Her team moves on the the finals next week for their school.  If shes lucky enough to win,  they go on to compete with the other schools in the area.  Good luck sweetie.
You know when your a card maker when you see something and try to copy it.  Earlier this week I saw a  customer at work wearing a fleece jacket green in color with trees on it.  I came home that night and made this card. What do you think?

Until next time
