Finally some craft time

Finally I've had some time this morning to sit down and make a couple cards.  Yesterday my little guy was up at 4am sick.  He was running from both ends.  DH had taken the day off to go do his Christmas shopping, so he got the honour of sitting with a sick child while I went to work. Well I thought he would be OK, that he just needed to sleep for the day.  Apparently while I was away he threw up all over the living.  (Couch, carpet, blankets, glad I didn't have to clean that up) He was sleeping it off by the time I arrived home at 2.  DH got to leave and do his shopping.  Today I stayed home with the little guy and today he's just lazing around.  Which gives me time to play. Enough about that and on to the good stuff.
The first card is made with a new folder I just picked up from Cuttlebug.  Very simple card , I added some jewels and glitter that is really hard to see in the picture.  The ribbon is two pieces put together.  I made this for Cuttlebug Challenge-Be Inspired #59.  You were to add glitter, bling, and a cuttlebug of course.  This is also for Crafty Cardmakers-Challenge #9-Alternative Christmas.  You were to create a project using a Christmas image in a NON TRADITIONAL COLORS.  No red, green, gold combos.  I choose navy blue card and matched the jewels to this.
I also made a birthday card using the sketch from 365 Cards-Day 274-Super Sketchy Sunday.  This also qualifies for Cute Card Thursday-Challenge #88-Snips, Snails &Puppy Dog Tails.  You were to make a card for the younger boys.  I used a stamp from SU, found some fishy paper I thought would go nice, and versa marked on the card with the same boat stamp.  I used Distress Ink to put the water on under the boat.
Here is my card.

Here is the sketch.

Hope you enjoy.
Happy cafting ;o)

That EF is one of my favorite folders. And I have not used it yet this year. I did make a very sparkly card with it last year...poor thing needs some love!

Great job on your cards!
